Rain likely along the west coast

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, and interior Karnataka, and at a few places in Marathwada, Telangana, and south Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, the Bihar plains, the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Kashmir, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Kutch, north-central Maharashtra, Vidarbha and some parts of east Uttar Pradesh and north Konkan. They were above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, the Bihar plateau, Saurashtra, and Marathwada, and normal in Manipur and Orissa.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, the Bihar plateau, Kashmir, south-west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch and parts of Vidarbha. They were normal in the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, east Madhya Pradesh. and north-central Maharashtra.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Konkan, Goa, and Lakshadweep. Rain also occurred at many places in central Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, and interior Karnataka, at a few places in Marathwada and Tamil Nadu, and at isolated places in West Bengal, Sikkim, west Madhya Pradesh and coastal Karnataka. Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
