Thundershowers expected in most of south IndiaRain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, many places in Rayalaseema, north Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra,Telangana, south Tamil Nadu, and interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, south-east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, and Marathwada. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, north Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep in the next 48 hours. Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, the plains of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, north-east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat state, and were above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, coastal Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, north-central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and parts of Bihar and west Rajasthan. Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Saurashtra and Kutch and appreciably above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Orissa, Kashmir, south-west Rajasthan and parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. They were above normal in Bihar, the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat region and the remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh. The south-west monsoon is still active over coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Kerala, at many places in Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, east Madhya Pradesh, the Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, and at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch and Karnataka. Light rain was recorded at isolated places in the Gujarat region. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
