Heavy rains likely along AP coastThe south-west monsoon is still active in coastal Andhra Pradesh and heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in this region as well as in Kerala in the next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Lakshadweep, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Konkan, Goa, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Telangana. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Lakshadweep, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, and Kerala, and at isolated places in Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and west Madhya Pradesh. Light rain occurred at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Saurashtra and Kutch and appreciably above normal in Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, north Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, and parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, west Rajasthan and north Madhya Pradesh. They were above normal in west Uttar Pradesh, Kashmir, south Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and in the remaining parts of Gangetic West Bengal, and west Rajasthan, and normal in east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Gujarat and north-central Maharashtra. Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in west Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, the plains of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat and above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, the Bihar plateau, Jammu, north Konkan, and parts of Punjab, Marathwada and Vidarbha. They were normal in Tripura, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, and north-central Maharashtra.
