Heavy rains forecast in Andamans

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Konkan and Goa, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in plains of west Uttar Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain has also occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most of the places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, at many places in Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in central Maharashtra, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in coastal Orissa, Telangana and interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest the country.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and of Saurashtra and Kutch and were above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and of Madhya Pradesh.

They were below normal in some parts of plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and of north-west Rajasthan.

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in Gujarat and in some parts of Rajasthan and of Madhya Pradesh and were above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and on Vidarbha and in the remaining parts of Rajasthan and of Madhya Pradesh.
