Heavy rains likely in coastal KarnatakaHeavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and coastal Karnataka in the next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka, at many places in the Bihar plains and Kerala, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar plateau, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Marathwada, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka. Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in coastal Karnataka and at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Konkan, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala, and at a few places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Vidarbha. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Day temperatures were above normal in Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch and in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and were appreciably below normal in some parts of Rajasthan. They were below normal in Haryana and Punjab. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Punjab and were below normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Gujarat and were above normal in some parts of Haryana, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and the remaining parts of Gujarat.
