Bengal, Orissa, Sikkim to have more rainRain or thundershowers occurred at many places in West Bengal, Sikkim and Orissa, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Bihar plateau, east Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha, and at isolated places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in central Maharashtra and Marathwada. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa and coastal Andhra Pradesh, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Kerala, and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. Light rain at a few places is likely in central Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka. Isolated light rain is also likely in Gujarat state. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Kashmir and above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and parts of east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. They were markedly below normal in Vidarbha and appreciably below normal in parts of west Rajasthan, south-east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region and north-central Maharashtra. They were below normal in Assam, the Bihar plains, Saurashtra and Kutch. Day temperatures were normal in the rest of the country except for Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse. Night temperatures were below normal in parts of south interior Karnataka. They were markedly above normal in parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat region, and appreciably above normal in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, the Bihar plains, the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and north-central Maharashtra. They were above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, the Bihar plains, Kashmir, Saurashtra, Kutch, and Vidarbha and normal in the rest of the country.
