Rains continue in the southern parts

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in central Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Telangana.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were below normal in Kashmir.

They were markedly above normal in Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, coastal Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, north-east Madhya Pradesh, and parts of west Rajasthan.

They were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, interior Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, south-east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and parts of west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka.

They were above normal in south interior Karnataka and parts of Haryana, Saurashtra and Kutch.

Night temperatures were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunchal Pradesh from where data were sparse.
