documents to arrested executive

Union Petroleum Minister and Tamizhaga Rajiv Congress leader Vazhapadi K Ramamurthy today denied that any sensitive document from his ministry was found in Reliance executive V Balasubramanian's house or office.

Asked at a media conference in Madras about the alleged nexus among the underworld, some corporate entities, and the government, Ramamurthy said he had no link with any gangster.

He, however, admitted knowing Balasubramanian. He was a senior executive of a large corporate house and would have known many politicians, the minister explained.

Ramamurthy also denied reports that his personal secretary, Bhalla, was selected by Balasubramanian and that his home was raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
