Rains continue in South

Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu, at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Night temperature were below normal in parts of south Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, northeast Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, central Maharashtra, south Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka, and in parts of Haryana.

Punjab and northwest Rajasthan and were above normal in Manipur, coastal and south interior Karnataka and in parts of Assam and Meghalaya, northwest Madhya Pradesh and of Vidarbha.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Gujarat and Marathwada from where the data were sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Telangana and Rayalaseema, and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
