More rains in the Andamans

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu during the next 48 hours.

The north-east monsoon has been active in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Vidarbha, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Bihar plains, east Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, west Madhya Pradesh and south interior Karnataka.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in the plains of Uttar Pradesh, central Maharashtra and Rayalaseema.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were markedly above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, east Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha and in parts of Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, central Maharashtra and of Telangana, and were appreciably above normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and in parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Haryana, Rajasthan and Karnataka.

They were above normal in Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, in parts of West Uttar Pradesh and in the remaining parts of Karnataka, and were normal over the rest of the country.
