Rains in Tamil Nadu

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in Tamil Nadu during the next 48 eight hours.

The north-east monsoon has been active in Tamil Nadu. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at a few places in Marathwada, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in east Rajasthan, central Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka.

Very light rain occurred at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu, at many places in south coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in coastal Karnataka, and at isolated places in coastal Orissa, Telangana, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were below normal in parts of Bihar plains and Punjab.

They were above normal in Rajasthan, northwest Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, north central Maharashtra, Marathwada and in parts of Haryana, Vidarbha and of Telangana, and were appreciably above normal in Konkan, south central Maharashtra and in parts of east Uttar Pradesh.

They were above normal in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and in parts of Bihar plateau, and were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunchal Pradesh from where data were sparse.
