More rains in South

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Rayalaseema, at many places in south interior Karnataka, at a few places in Orissa and coastal Andhra Pradesh, and at isolated places in Vidarbha, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Bihar plateau and central Maharashtra.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were below normal in parts of Tamil Nadu.

They were markedly above normal in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Marathwada and Vidarbha, and were appreciably above normal in Saurashtra, Kutch, Andhra Pradesh and parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, central Maharashtra and of Karnataka.

They were above normal in parts of Bihar, Konkan and Goa and in the remaining parts of Karnataka, and were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse.
