Yeltsin to visit India on Dec 6-8

Russian President Boris Yeltsin will visit India from December 6 to 8, it was officially announced in New Delhi today.

A number of agreements in different fields are expected to be signed between the two countries during Yeltsin's visit.

Russian deputy foreign minister G B Karasin arrived in the national capital last night to make preparations for the presidential visit.

Karasin today held discussions with Home Minister L K Advani, Brajesh Mishra, principal secretary to the prime minister and Foreign Secretary K Raghunath.
