Heat wave continues in parts of Rajasthan, Haryana

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim and Orissa, and at isolated places in Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, South Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar islands and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Haryana, Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh.

Heat wave conditions also prevailed in the plains of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, North Gujarat, South Andhra Pradesh, the remaining parts of Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and in parts of Punjab, North Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Bihar plateau, Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Karnataka, parts of West Bengal, Orissa, the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

They were above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Kashmir, South Gujarat, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Kerala, the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and parts of Marathwada and North Telengana.

They were appreciably below normal in the remaining parts of Madhya Maharashtra, and normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where data was sparse.
