Heat wave continues in Rajasthan

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of East Rajasthan, Northwest Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, North Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and in parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, South Madhya Maharashtra and Telangana.

They were above normal in Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa and in parts of coastal Orissa, Rayalseema and in the remaining parts of West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat region.

They were appreciably below normal in Bihar plateau, coastal Tamil Nadu and in parts of Haryana and Punjab, and below normal in Bihar plains, East Uttar Pradesh, hills of West Uttar Pradesh and Kashmir.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where data was sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, East Madhya Pradesh and Rayalseema and at isolated places in Orissa, Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar islands and at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Orissa, hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
