Heavy rain expected in parts of KeralaHeavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Kerala during the next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar islands and coastal Karnataka, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, South Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Andaman and Nicobar islands and Kerala, at a few places in Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of West Rajasthan. Heat wave conditions also prevailed in some parts of Gujarat and the remaining parts of Rajasthan. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Kashmir and coastal Karnataka, and above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Orissa, Punjab, Konkan, Goa, North Madhya Maharashtra and in parts of West Madhya Pradesh and south interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal in Telengana and parts of Vidarbha, and below normal in interior Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Rayalaseema. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where data was sparse.
