Wet weather over parts of southern India

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of Madhya Maharashtra and above normal in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Saurashtra, Kutch, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

They were markedly below normal in interior Orissa, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Rayalseema and parts of south interior Karnataka, and appreciably below normal in parts of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Telengana.

They were below normal in parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and West Rajasthan from where data was sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, East Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka.

Very light rain occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Vidarbha and Telengana.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
