Dr Chidambaram retained as AEC chairman

The reconstituted Atomic Energy Commission will continue to have Dr R Chidambaram as its chairman.

The other officials who have been retained are: Finance Secretary Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Professor C N R Rao, president, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Nuclear Power Corporation of India chairman and managing director Dr Y S R Prasad, and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre director Dr Anil Kakodkar.

The new members are: Dr Raja Ramanna, former AEC chairman, Brajesh Mishra, principal secretary to the prime minister, Cabinet Secretary Prabhat Kumar and Professor S R Jashim member secretary, Planning Commission.
