Hot day in paradise on earthRain or snow is likely to occur at one or two places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, and at one or two places in Orissa, Bihar and west Rajasthan. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers occurred at almost all places in Assam, Meghalaya and Gangetic West Bengal, at many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and at one or two places in Mizoram, Tripura and Orissa. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Kashmir, southwest Rajasthan, coastal Karnataka and in some parts of Gujarat. They were above normal in Telengana and some parts of central Maharashtra. They were markedly below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, north Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, in parts of the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, and were appreciably below normal in some parts of Haryana and Punjab. They were below normal in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha, and normal in the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and the plains of west Uttar Pradesh from where data was sparse. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, the Bihar plateau, the plains of Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of the sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar. They were below normal in the rest of West Bengal and Sikkim. Night temperatures were markedly above normal in north Gujarat, and appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Saurashtra, Kutch and Telengana, and above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, north central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and the remaining parts of Telenagana and Rayalseema. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and interior Karnataka from where data was sparse.
