Wet weather over North-EastRain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, at a few places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and at one or two places in Orissa and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, and at one or two places in West Bengal and Orissa. Very light rain occurred at one or two places in Bihar plains. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema and Karnataka. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and above normal in some parts of Orissa, Saurashtra and the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They were markedly below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, and appreciably below normal in some parts of Bihar plateau, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and east Rajasthan. They were below normal in Bihar plains, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and south central Maharashtra. Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, north west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan and north Madhya Pradesh. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh, south Madhya Pradesh, north Gujarat, Marathwada, and below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha and in the remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in south coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Telangana and Karnataka. The night temperatures were above normal in some parts of Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and in the remaining parts of Karnataka, and normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh. UNI |
