Pak complains to security council of RAW hand in violence

The Pakistan foreign office today summoned the envoys of the five permanent Security Council members and told them of suspected subversive activities of the Indian Research and Analysis Wing in Pakistan.

Foreign Secretary Shamshad Ahmad told the ambassadors, that it was the responsibility of the international community, particularly the permanent members of the Security Council, to note India's violation of the principles of the United Nations charter and international conventions on terrorism.

Ahmad said the recent bomb blasts in trains and other public places in Pakistan were part of a campaign of subversion and terrorism sponsored by India. The foreign secretary said Pakistan had conclusive evidence of RAW's involvement in these incidents.

These acts of terrorism could derail the process of dialogue initiated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief, Ahmad said.
