The Bharatiya Janata Party's Som Marandi won the seat by this wafer-thin margin over his nearest Congress rival Thomas Hansda.
The next was in Mizoram where Dr H Lallu Ngmuana (independent) managed to scrape through with a margin of 40 votes over J Lalsangzuala of the Congress.
In Bombay South Central, Shiv Sena's Mohan Rawle won the seat with a margin of 153 over his nearest Samajwadi Party rival Suhail Lokhandwala.
In Tamil Nadu, Dravida Munnetra Kazagham candidate D Venugopal got through with a margin of 274 over his All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham rival S Krishnamoorthy.
Former deputy prime minister Devi Lal (Haryana Lok Dal) lost from Rohtak in Haryana by a margin of 383 votes. He was vanquished by Bhupinder Singh of the Congress.
In Panaji, Goa, former chief minister Ravi Naik (Congress) won by a margin of 417 votes over R Pandurang Dattaram of the BJP.
In Saidpur, Uttar Pradesh, the BJP's Vijay won by a margin of 825 votes over his nearest Samajwadi Party rival Toofani.
In faraway Lakhsadweep on the Arabian Sea, P M Sayeed
(Congress) scored over his only rival, Dr Mohammed Koya (Janata Dal) by a margin of 964 votes.
In Machhalishar, UP, the BJP's Chinmayanand won by a margin of 1103 votes over his nearest Samajwadi Party rival Haribansh Singh.
In the Union Territory of Daman and Diu, Devibhai J Tandel of the BJP scored over D V Patel (independent) by a margin of 1236.
The Congress's P J Kurian won from Mavelikkara in Kerala by a margin of 1261, defeating Ninan Koshi (independent). Again in Uttar Pradesh, the Bahujan Samaj Party's Ram Shankar won with a margin of 1495 votes over his Samjwadi Party rival Shyam Lal Rawat.
In Jalna, Maharashtra, Uttam Singh Pawar of the BJP defeated B D Ganpatrao (Congress) by a margin of 1808 votes.
