BJP leads in eight LS seats in UP

The Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in eight of the nine Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, trends from which are available till now.

The trends coming from Almora, Aonala, Bulandshahar, Bilhaur, Kanpur, Bareilly, Tehri and Khurja (SC) show the BJP leading after completion of first round of counting of votes.

Of these constituencies, Aonla is the only one which had returned a Samajwadi Party candidate in 1996. The rest of the seats had been won by the BJP in the last elections.
