BJP leads in 13 MP seats

The Bharatiya Janata Party has established lead in 13 and the Congress in seven constituencies in Madhya Pradesh from where trends are available.

Congress working committee member Arjun Singh (Hoshangabad), Bahujan Samaj Party general secretary Arvind Netam (Janjgir), state BJP president Nandkumar Sai (Raigarh-ST), former Bajrang Dal president Jaibhan Singh Pavaiya (Gwalior), state Congress working president Dalbir Singh (Shahdol) and former president Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma's son Ashatosh Dayal (Congress-Vidisha) were trailing in the early stage of counting.

Congress general secretary Madhavrao Scindia (Gwalior), senior Congress leader and former Uttar Pradesh governor Motilal Vora (Rajnandgaon), Congress co-spokesman Ajit Jogi (Raigarh), state Home Minister Charan Das Mahant (Cong-Janjgir) and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Uma Bharati (BJP-Khajuraho) were among those who had established early leads.

The BJP nominees are leading in the constituencies which they had held in the dissolved 11th Lok Sabha.

Besides leading in its traditional strongholds of Gwalior, Sarangarh (SC) and Jhabua (ST), the Congress has got early leads in Rajnandgaon, Janjgir and Raigarh (ST).
