Parts of Kerala, coastal Karnataka in for heavy rains

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in Orissa, South Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, madhya Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka, at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh, and at isolated places in West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Orissa, South Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and East Madhya Pradesh, at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat, North Konkan, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolatad places over the rest of the country outside the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan where the weather will be mainly dry.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Haryana.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, and were above normal in Southeast Rajasthan and North Gujarat.
