Six militants killed in Anantnag

Security forces killed six militants during a search operation at Kavrigam village in South Kashmir district of Anantnag on Tuesday evening.

An official spokesman said forces came under heavy fire during a search operation, and retaliated. Some arms and ammunition were recovered during the operation.

In another incident, a joint operation by security forces and the state police in Srinagar ended with the capture of four militants.
