Rains to lash parts of coastal Kerala, Karnataka

Heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in Orissa, South Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

The Southwest monsoon has been active in Orissa. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plateau, Konkan and Goa, north interior Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir, madhya Maharashtra, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in East Uttar Pradest, East Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in South Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa and Bihar plateau, at a few places in Arunchal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar plains, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, North Konkan and Goa, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in West Madhya Pradesh, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
