Rain expected in Andamans

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, South Konkan, Goa, Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, North Konkan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, South madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, South Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of West Rajasthan and Gujarat, and above normal in parts of Saurashtra and Kutch.

Heatwave conditions prevailed in parts of Rajasthan.
