Rain in some parts of country, heat wave in others

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, sub- Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, south Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

The southwest monsoon has been active in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, east Madhya Pradesh and interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Orissa and Konkan and Goa. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of west Rajasthan.
