Rain in Konkan, Kerala and Karnataka

Heavy showers are likely to occur at isolated places in South Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

The monsoon has been active in Kerala. Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Haryana and coastal Karnataka, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Konkan and Goa, at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Punjab and West Rajasthan and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, hills of West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Very light rain occurred at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa and Lakshadweep, at a few places Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Orissa, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and at isolated places over the rest of the country outside Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh and north madhya Maharashtra where the weather will be mainly dry.

Heatwave conditions prevailed in north coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Southeast Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and in parts of north interior Karnataka.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat region, and below normal in Kashmir and parts in the plains of West Uttar Pradesh and Saurashtra.

They were above normal over the rest of the country outside Orissa from where the data was sparse.
