Karunanidhi unleashing terror to foil state-wide protest, alleges Jaya

All India Anna DMK general secretary J Jayalalitha today alleged that Chief Minister M Karunanidhi was trying to instigate the police force against her partymen during their proposed state-wide protest rallies and demonstrations on June 15 and 19 to highlight the plight of farmers and protest against the DMK regime's "vindictive" attitude towards her.

In a lengthy appeal to her partymen, Jayalalitha listed various instances when Karunanidhi had allegedly used the police to foist cases on AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran and other leaders ever since the party was formed in 1972, and urged them to maintain peace. "Let us represent the problems of farmers in a democratic manner", she added.

She claimed that Karunanidhi, who did not have adequate money before he became a minister, was now wallowing in wealth, while her property, which she had earned through "hard toil", was being attached.
