Karnataka cabinet reshuffle next week

The reshuffle of the Karnataka cabinet will take place next week.

After his second round of talks with former prime minister H D Deve Gowda and former Union minister S R Bommai, Chief Minister J H Patel said today that he would discuss the issue again with the two leaders on June 13 before restructuring his ministry.

Deve Gowda and Bommai will leave for Delhi to attend the Parliament session and were expected to return to Bangalore on June 13.

The restructuring of the ministry had been put off a few times and the chief minister had said that he would carry out the exercise after the assembly by-election.

The Janata Dal leaders also reviewed the outcome of the by-election in which the ruling party won three of the seven seats.
