AIADMK MPs walk out of Parliament againAll India Anna DMK members in both Houses of Parliament staged a walkout for the second consecutive day today, demanding dismissal of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government in Tamil Nadu for its failure to contain Inter Services Intelligence activities in the state. In the Rajya Sabha, N Thalavai Sunderam tried to raise the issue as soon as the House met, but he was disallowed by chairman Krishan Kant. At this the agitated AIADMK members walked out. In the Lok Sabha, the AIADMK members led by their leader Sedapatti Muthiah were on their feet raising slogans against the Karunanidhi government. They accused the DMK government of providing support to the ISI activities in Tamil Nadu. Speaker G M C Balayogi asked the members to resume their seats saying that he appreciated their feelings. The unrelenting AIADMK members kept on raising slogans before staging a walkout. Incidentally, members of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Pattali Makkal Katchi were not present in the House today. The AIADMK members had staged a walkout on Friday too on the same issue. The AIADMK ministers were, however, not present in the House. Law Minister Thambidurai belonging to the AIADMK entered the House while the AIADMK members were shouting slogans, and he hurriedly withdrew from the House. The minister, however, entered the House after his colleagues had walked out. UNI |
