Lok Sabha to have special discussion on foreign policy on Monday

The Lok Sabha will have a special discussion on July 27 on India's foreign policy in the wake of recent developments.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is expected to reply to the debate before he leaves for Colombo to participate in the SAARC conference.

The Lok Sabha secretariat had received requests for the special discussion from a number of senior members, including former speakers Purno A Sangma and Shivraj Patil (both Congress), Rupchand Pal (CPI-M), Vaiko (MDMK), Mohan Singh (SP) and Vilas Muttemwar, K Natwar Singh and Prithviraj Chauhan (all Congress).
