Two more in, Shekhawat's is 40-strong team

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today inducted two more ministers raising the strength of his ministry to 40.

Acting Governor Justice Narang Lal Tibrewal administered the oaths of office and secrecy to Chunni Lal Dharkar and V P Singh at a function at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur.

While Singh was sworn in as a cabinet minister, Dharkar was inducted as minister of state. Their portfolios have not been announced yet.

Those present at the swearing-in ceremony were Shekhawat, Deputy Chief Minister Hari Shankar Bhabhra and several other dignitaries.

On July 2, Shekhawat had inducted 13 ministers of state and one cabinet minister and elevated two deputy ministers as ministers of state.

The assembly elections in the state are due in December.
