Exit Poll: BJP win 15, Congress 10 in RajasthanThe Bharatiya Janata Party gains while the Congress loses in Rajasthan in an extremely close fight, as per the Exit Poll. The BJP is likely to win 15 seats, a gain of three seats from the 1996 election; while the Congress tally should come down to 10, a loss of 2 seats. Rajasthan sends 25 members to the Lok Sabha. Both parties increase the voter percentage at the cost of the other parties and Independents. The BJP gains 45 per cent of the votes, a rise of three per cent, and the Congress had 42 per cent voter support, a gain of two per cent. Others (other parties and Independents) lose four per cent of the voter support. However, the margin of victory is very close and the margin of error can see a swing of two seats either way.
