Exit Poll: AGP trounced in Assam, tally at 2 seats

The Asom Gana Parishad will suffer a major drubbing in the general election, as per the Exit Poll, while both the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress stand to gain.

The AGP's tally will come down to a mere two seats out of a total of 14, a loss of five seats. Its share of votes will be a mere 29 per cent, again a loss of four per cent.

Gaining from the AGP's debacle will be the BJP and the Congress, both of which win 3 seats each. The BJP tally goes up to 4 seats and the Congress to a massive 8.

In terms of percentage, the BJP at 25 per cent gains 9 per cent, and the Congress, at 43 per cent, rises by a massive 12 per cent.
