Cold nights in Orissa, MaharashtraThe night temperatures were appreciably below normal in parts of Orissa, central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka. They were below normal in parts of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, south Konkan and coastal Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal in parts of Gujarat, and above normal in parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Haryana and east Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the country. Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
