Cold wave continues in KashmirCold wave conditions prevailed in Jammu and Kashmir and in parts of south-west Rajasthan. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in north coastal Orissa and in parts of north Gujarat, and were below normal in parts of north central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and Rayalaseema. They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and in parts of Saurashtra, and were above normal in north-east Madhya Pradesh and in parts of Haryana, Punjab, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and coastal and south interior Karnataka from where the data were sparse. The North-East Monsoon has been active in Kerala. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Lakshadweep, and at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.
