Cold wave in Kashmir

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in coastal Tamil Nadu during the next 48 hours.

The Northeast monsoon has been vigorous in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Kerala.

Very light rains also occurred at isolated places in Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Tamil Nadu and south Kerala, at a few places in north Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in Kashmir.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in parts of west Rajasthan, south-east Madhya Pradesh, north central Maharashtra and Vidarbha, and were below normal in parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and in the remaining parts of Vidarbha.

They were appreciably above normal in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plains and in parts of plains in west Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and the remaining parts of west Rajasthan.

They were above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, and in parts of Rayalaseema and coastal and south interior Karnataka.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse.
