Cold wave in central Maharashtra

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at a few places in Tamil Nadu, and at isolated places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in north-central Maharashtra. Night temperatures were below normal in Kashmir and some parts of Orissa, the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kutch, south-central Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

They were above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh and some parts of the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, south Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and south Tamil Nadu.

They were normal in the rest of the country barring Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse.
