Showers to continue over parts of NE

Heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipura, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plains, Gujarat region, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and at a few places over the rest of the country outside West Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana and north interior Karnataka, where it will be at isolated places.

The Southwest monsoon has been active in Assam, Meghalaya and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Bihar plains, East Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Konkan, Goa and Karnataka, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar plateau, East Uttar Pradesh, in the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, and at isolated places in Himachal Pradeesh, West Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
