Thambidurai rules out cracks in AIADMK front

Union Law Minister and All India Anna DMK leader M Thambidurai today claimed that there was no crack in the AIADMK-led front in Tamil Nadu.

Reacting to reports about difference of opinion among the front constituents on withdrawal of support to the BJP-led government at the Centre, Thambidurai said, "We are all cemented together."

He was speaking to newsmen after participating in a function at Rajaji Bhavan in Besant Nagar in Madras.

The minister reiterated that there was no difference of opinion among the front constituents.

Asked about Pattali Makkal Katchi leader S Ramadoss's assertion that there was no question of withdrawal of support to the Vajpayee government, Thambidurai said Dr Ramadoss and Marumalarchi DMK general secretary Vaiko had said they would abide by whatever decision AIADMK leader J Jayalalitha took on the issue of support to the central government.

Asked when Jayalalitha was expected to take a decision, he said she had already stated that an appropriate decision would be taken at the appropriate time.
