Rains continue in Andamans

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at a few places over the rest of the country.

Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Konkan and Goa, and active in Himachal Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, East Madhya Pradesh, madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar plateau, in the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Marathwada and Tamil Nadu, at isolated places in East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Rayalseema.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
