Heatwave in Haryana, JK and Kerala

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and parts of Rajasthan, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, and above normal in coastal and southern interior Karnataka and the remaining parts of Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and parts of the plains in Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and northern Central Maharashtra.

They were appreciably below normal in Gangetic West Bengal and northern coastal Orissa, and normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where data was sparse.

Rain or snow occurred at one or two places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and southern interior Karnataka.

Very light rain occurred at one or two places in Punjab and northern interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely to occur at one or two places in the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim, and at one or two places in Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Orissa, Haryana, Punjab, North Rajasthan, South Central Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
