Kumaramangalam tells all sides to cool itPower Minister P Rangarajan Kumaramangalam today said the ongoing wrangling between some members of the ruling coalition does not augur well for the country's image as well as economy. "The whole 'shut-up and going to the people again business' led to the Sensex plummeting,'' the power minister said while speaking at a seminar on 'Agenda for the new government,' organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi. The power minister's remarks came in an obvious reference to the war of words between Commerce Minister Ramakrishna Hegde and All India Anna DMK chief J Jayalalitha and her party colleagues. Reiterating his appeal to both sides to exercise restraint, Kumaramangalam said high tempers do not create a good image of India outside. Creating a better image of India is the collective responsibility of all sections of society, he said, while calling upon the media not to create a sensation regarding the matter. UNI
