Cabinet minister resigns

Jammu and Kashmir Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Abdul Ahad Vakeel has resigned from his post, quoting "personal" reasons.

Official sources said Wednesday evening that Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah recommended the resignation, and Governor K V Krishna Rao (retired) accepted it.
