Hegde gets PM's letter seeking his comments on Jaya's chargeUnion Commerce Minister Ramakrishna Hegde today said he had received a letter from Prime Minister A B Vajpayee seeking his comments on the allegation made by All India Anna DMK general secretary J Jayalalitha against him and seeking his dismissal. Talking to newsmen in Hubli, Hegde said he would reply to the prime minister's letter tomorrow. Vajpayee had not sought an explanation, but only his comment, he clarified. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party-led coalition government at the Centre was stable. "The pressure from Jayalalitha may send out wrong signals, but it is not serious". Vajpayee has the wisdom and capacity to resolve all the problems, he added. Hegde said a separate ministry for infrastructure development would be constituted before Parliament's budget session. He parried a question on the recent appointment of governors to various states, and also refused to comment on Ram Jethmalani's reaction to Jayalalitha's charge. UNI
