Jethmalani replies to PM, refuses to divulge detailsUrban Development Minister Ram Jethmalani today said he had sent his reply to Prime Minister A B Vajpayee regarding certain clarifications sought by the latter following All India Anna DMK general secretary J Jayalalitha's demand for the resignations of some Union ministers. ''I don't allow the grass to grow under my feet... The moment I received the letter from the prime minister, I replied,'' he told reporters at his office at Nirman Bhavan in New Delhi. Jethamalani, however, declined to divulge the details of his letter. Jayalalitha had demanded Jethmalani's resignation, alleging that the Enforcement Directorate was looking into charges of violation of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act to the tune of $ 200,000 against him. Yesterday, Pramod Mahajan, the prime minister's political advisor, had stated that Vajpayee had sought Jethmalani's comments on Jayalalitha's allegation. UNI
