Mulayam vows to teach Naidu a lesson

Former Union defence minister and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today directed his party workers to spread their network in block and district levels in Andhra Pradesh to teach Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu a lesson for betraying the United Front.

Addressing a gathering of over 4,000 party workers at the party's two-day special national convention, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said that the United Front received a jolt when it came to know that their convener Naidu is going to support communal forces.

The Telugu Desam Party, which was against communal forces, is now supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government.

He said the SP, which is a key UF constituent, will play a lead role in teaching the traitors a lesson, he said in an indirect reference to Naidu. ''They have conspired against the Front, and this has changed the national political scenario,'' he added.

Yadav said that he himself will go to Hyderabad and address the May 4 United Front rally.
